Laura - my surgery is Monday. I have my preop appointment tomorrow! It's been a crazy busy week so the time is just flying by!
Today I'm eating lunch at my daughter's school with my daughter and son. That makes it hard to count calories but I'm looking forward to enjoying some extra time with my oldest. I am planning on finishing up yardwork this morning, and finishing Christmas presents this afternoon and tomorrow. I have to take my oldest to a make up lesson right after school and then we have a big family art night event at school right after that. Tomorrow I'm babysitting in the morning, have my preop appointment, and then friends are coming over. I'm hoping that I won't have much time for snacking with all the running around!
I did splurge and have some dark chocolate brownies last night. But I still managed to stay in my calorie count. I'm planning on feeding the leftovers to my kids so they won't be around to tempt me today!
Happy Thursday!0 -
Good luck with your preop appointment tomorrow!
Hope you're able to get to the gym today Sherry without too much stress/rushing around!
I have a trainer appointment tonight & will do a treadmill run. I'm blaming the weather (today is the 12th consecutive day of high temps being well under freezing -- high today expected to be 14F / -10C) and short, dark days but I'm tired all the time. I'm actually sleeping well at night, so that's a bonus since I struggle with insomnia, but I just want to cuddle up under a blanket.
Eating tomorrow will be a challenge. We're having a going away party over lunch for one of my co-workers and food is from his favorite restaurant, which is a pizza place. Then after work we're having a potluck at work. The "Christmas City of the North" parade is tomorrow in Duluth and the parade route goes right in front of my office so every year we have a potluck open to friends & family.0 -
val, you are one very productive chick! Good luck with all of it. Hope you get everything you want done, before your surgery & recovery.
Laura, enjoy the work stuff. Sometimes I miss work, definitely miss having such close relationships with co-workers, the lunches & happy hours & parties. Sorry about your weather. I think I used to have a touch of S.A.D., til I moved to Athens. No SAD here--it was the bluest skies and sunshine today. I can't describe my frustration that my left achilles was hurting and I couldn't run. :-(
DH managed to meet me near the gym for lil girl and I got leg workout, including intensive, weighted ankle/calf exercises. I walked from gym back to tutor. Will probably do some walking when I take son to tkd tonight too. Calories have been HUGELY BETTER the past few days. T.O.M. showed up, so next "rest day" might be 2 or 3 rest days. My muscles have been pretty sore anyway and could use the extra recovery.
Have a good one, Friday approaches!!0 -
Val will be thinking of you
I am going to bundle up and go for a walk today, its been freezing out all week, they are saying maybe snow tomorrow.
Still can't believe I am free! lol I did get some cards done, won't mail for a few more weeks.
I was fighting a tummy ache most of day yesterday and drinking ginger tea. I keep thinking I can still eat like I did when I was a kid. My husband had made chili the night before and I had some choc after and a glass of wine when I got home from work. All triggers for tummy problems!
I am fine today, last night had some of one of my healthy soups for dinner...no wine or choc!
I sort of miss that too Sherry hanging out with work friends, working at small store I work alone.
When I worked at AAA in city I used to be the head of employee committee and planned our big parties for Christmas and other things, lots of us had drinks after work, dinners, etc.
