Well, I did my workouts this week and was shooting for a second full round, but although I want to go to the gym, I don't want to leave the house. My ankles have felt great these past few days that I haven't walked, so I could just not walk to the gym, but the thought of waiting for the bus on a Sunday, for a 1.3 mile trip to the gym. Ugh. Doesn't help that it's chilly and gray outside. Haven't decided yet. Messed up calories last night and could use a burn to help with that, but not terribly motivated atm. :\

Sherry great job getting in your workouts this week! I'm glad your ankles are feeling better. My gym is 1.3 miles from my house too, which is a pleasant walk on a nice day but just far enough to be a miserable walk when the weather doesn't cooperate. My city is too small for bus service so if I walk there I'm committed to walking home too. I walked there a lot this past summer but will likely be driving there until spring.

It's gray and chilly here too. It's really foggy and this time of year in Minnesota you never know if it's regular fog or if there's a freezing drizzle going on at the same time. I am going to go to the gym at some point today but plan to wait until later. Getting some stuff done around the house this morning (dishes, laundry, general decluttering).

Jason gave me a bike workout to do today. I'm sure he intended for me to do it on my bike trainer at home, but I'm going to go use the bike at the gym anyway. I get a $20 discount on my gym membership from my health insurance company if I go to the gym 12 times a month. Normally that's not a problem but this month between using my bike trainer & trying to swim more (no pool at my gym) I've been there a lot less. He also wants me to do low back exercises and I have more options with the equipment at the gym.

I ate more calories yesterday than I should have, but I'm feeling a lot better about the quality of the choices I'm making. I'm almost halfway through my 30 day eating-better promise to Jason (it's day 14) and it continues to get easier.

Laura, that discount is cool! I'm lucky that my gym is super cheap if you buy a whole year's membership (like normally at least 30 per month; but only 149 per year, but I got for 129 per year somehow). So, I just pay up the year and don't have to think about it again for a year. I really love the gym. At first I hated it, because it had old equipment and very little space and was crowded (&very different from gyms in US). But now that I'm used to it, I love it because I know the people there are very chill and just serious about getting their workout and they feel like neighbors. When lil girl starts school, I may end up going twice a day! haha.

Anyway, today it didn't happen. Before I had a chance to make up my mind, my son had a crisis. It took a good long while to get him settled down (tears and all!) and help him solve the problem (it was an online gaming/bully situation where he is dealing with people older and more mature than him, but it was a good opportunity to teach him some life lessons). After all, we ended up having a really great time at home as a family, playing games and laughing. It was also good that it happened while DH was here, so he could get involved, since he is pretty "in the dark" to that side of his son's life (I watch son play & txt/chat to make sure everything is cool, but DH doesn't). We ended up giving him an early birthday present to help the situation (bday is 2 weeks), so it was good that it was a nice family pre-bdaay time. NOW, just to hold my calories down as best I can to stay in my cut for the week.
