Great job guys! Lovely to hear your mom is 91 and going strong John:) I miss mine every day. I called dad and had a nice convo and as every phone call goes, it ended in political debates and him reminding me of Bible prophesies. Every time! haha0

Floating here in Oregon! But my rings are looser from all the water, which must mean I've lost 15lbs in pure body fat already today, right?0
-
I like how you think Leopardprintaholic! lol Congrats and yes, I will call it fat loss:)0
-
John that's a great strategy!0

Kim's helpful biztravel tip of the day....after 3 cups of coffee, a quart of water and a half liter of Perrier, reconsider taking the window seat on a 4+hour flight.
Don't ask me why I know.0 -
Haha Kim! I try not to drink too much flying for the same reason. I take it you made it there safely. Good news!0

Kris. Changing planes at LAX. Have some sorta mechanical issue so just sitting. But let me tell you when we landed I was ready to bulldoze everyone down to get off and to the potty!0

Sounds like my last flight. I hit the bathroom and the gals all said, "uh, you go. you look like you need it more" Niagara falls. Sorry about the issue at LAX. Every time I fly to Cal, I have issues. One time it took me 36 hours to get there. Weather and mechanical. Take care!0 -
Great Day Folks, That was EZ eh....? Tuesday is typically a day where production is at its highest, Thursday is actually the best day of the week for productivity, but Tuesday is close. So a little more challenging exercise but still just pennies from the fat bank. A bit of total body, from a good squat position drop your hands between your legs to your heels, rise up to an overhead press position arms fully extended overhead and continue to a calf raise. Return to starting position. 1 rep completed. 5X5 try not to go more than 2 hrs between sets. I normally like to greet the sun with this one but I have a quick turn around tonight so will have to be on the road before sunrise. Tomorrow.0

Good one! I saw it on your feed and thought, uh oh, I am going to have to bring weights to work:) It is kind of like a burpee without leaving the ground and the push up.0

Happy Wednesday Folks! Today is a Walk Day. Walk during commercials tonight, or try what they talked about on Rob Wolf Podcast yesterday. Set a timer work for 25 min then focus on task, when the timer goes off disengage. go take a five min walk. Try it a few times and comment on any results you notice.0
-
I will give the timer thing a try today at work, plus plan on walking tonight.0

So here we are at Thursday. Jammin'! Time for some upper body work, Angel Wings sound good. From a standing Position with arms at your side, Keeping your arms extended raise them over your head till you touch the backs of your hands, lower them to the starting position, 1 rep. During you favorite breaks today, do a set of 5 reps. See how many sets you can fit in to your day and evenings from 0700 to 1900 hrs (7-7) must take at least 20 min between sets. Post to your timeline and think heavenly thoughts. Advance athletes can add weights.0

Did you hear me whining last night? Because I was every time I rolled over in bed. This should be interesting as I had my flu shot and my shoulder is a achin'! Digging deep!0
-
Like today's! Might be my only chance to be angelic!!0
-
You are an angel...and not of the fallen variety!0

OK Dokay today's Challenge doesn't start til tonight. You may get some resistance from your family on this one so you might have to be a bit of a sneak to do it. But it is always better to share. Set your thermostat to 66 Deg just before Bed. Yepper its another format of Cold Thermogenisis. Sleep temps in the low to mid 60's have been shown to give you a very positive metabolic response for the day.
IF you have young Children make it a night of indoor camping. with blanket tents, and sleeping bags. Sit them around the light bulb campfire and tell them your Bakery War Stories, tell them of your victories and struggles, tell them of the day when they too will face the jelly donuts, Old Fashioneds, and the Sugar and Carb king of battle the dreaded Chocolate Eclair! as a metabolic warrior, teach them to be strong.0 -
This one will be an easy one for me. I am sure I will hear gasps after you read this, but our thermostat goes to 60 at bedtime and we live in chilly Michigan. I think that taking advantage of the tax break some years ago and insulating the attic helped, because the furnace only kicks on a couple times when it is in the teens out. Plus putting plastic up on some windows helps. Aside from being relatively frugal, we both like it cool at night. Anyways, my ever increasing, nightly hot flashes heat things up enough and probably are a contributor to global warming.
Cold Thermogenisis will be happening!0 -
Good O Kris EZ PEAZY one for ya.0
-
Kris...our thermostat goes to 60 overnight too. In WI. In the winter. Summer its 65, can't mentally justify the AC electricity below that. I like a cold room when I sleep. Key is programming it to kick in a half hour b4 your alarm, esp. In winter. I'm less thrilled with a freezing cold bathroom when getting dressed for the day.0
-
I keep my thermostat in the mid to low 60s at night as well. My furnace is getting on it's last legs, so no bumping up the temp before I have to get out of bed. BRRRRRRR0
-
Saturday Challenge -either watch or listen to the Army Navy Game. One pushup per point scored. No matter where you are when you hear it. Post to your timeline Go Army Beat Navy! and Reps.0

OMG you people are insane!! I can't take the cold. Im just miserable when I'm cold. There is a reason I live in Texas!! I will do it though. Going to postpone this one till the kids are over the flu. We've had strep throat, viruses & everything at my house this week but thankfully they're on the mend.
Bakery war stories....lol!0 -

Well its 2am in Georgia, woke up to some leg cramps and halted them with some salty crackers. Today's Challenge is called Shhhh! Don't wake the Baby. Here's what you do, Go to the point in your house that is farthest from your front door. Now get up on your tip toes and walk to your mailbox and back.
If anybody asks what you're doing you put your finger to your lips and say "Shhhh Don't wake the Baby". Get them to follow you on tip toe if you can. Not allowed to explain until you have returned to start point. Exercise is over. This is fun to do with kids but if you live in a busy neighborhood, might have an unexpected crowd. Time it carefully.0
