Crazy day full of errands with the kids after school/tutor while DH worked late. Got my steps though. Did some dumbbell exercises for arms for the heck of it. Was good.

    Later!

Hi, was too busy yesterday to write. Just being lazy today and hanging out in pj's. Going to pull out my xmas boxes and take a look, might put up some lights outside. Right now I feel sleepy...I heard once turkey has something in it that makes one sleepy. I used some left over turkey meat to make a small egg scramble with spinach this morning. I wanted something healthy.

Hope you all had a good holiday yesterday!

I did stop at the gym on the way home from lunch yesterday. Didn't get a huge workout - 15 minutes on the rowing machine, 5 on Jacobs Ladder & 15 on the elliptical. Then I stopped at the grocery store and bought healthy foods. Ate leftover ham, turkey, stuffing & gravy for dinner last night, and then grazed all night. Between Wednesday and Thursday I consumed probably a week's worth of calories.

Fresh start today. I did 15 minutes on the elliptical & 5 minutes on the rowing machine to warm up, then had a trainer session from 9:30-10:30 and it was so much fun. Did a version of tabata, in supersets. 20 seconds hard of one exercise, then 10 seconds to get into place for a second exercise & 20 seconds hard of that, then 10 seconds to get into position for the 1st, etc. Four complete sets of each, then a chance to catch my breath & grab a drink of water before jumping into the next superset. Covered everything: planks, step-ups, TRX inverted rows, wall sits, barbell squat/raises, ball slams, bicep curls, backward lunges, bicycle crunches, push-ups, seated twists, etc. Finished with 20/10 second intervals doing mountain climbers, Jacobs Ladder & the rowing machine (solo - not as supersets) so we could "finish strong." The final set of mountain climbers I was on my back on the floor muttering it was too hard (my legs were burning) but Jason talked me into getting up again and I banged out the final 20 seconds. It's amazing how long 20 seconds can feel, although the hour itself went by super fast. As I was walking out the door afterward Jason was yelling "good nutrition this weekend!" after me.

Sherry your day yesterday sounded a little frustrating! Glad you were able to get most of your workout in yesterday despite the surprise of no school & get in some bonus stuff today.

Marla how was work yesterday? Did you have enough business to make it worthwhile for you to have gone in?

Laura, that sounds kinda fun...not all of it (like lunges for example, ugh! not my fave), but the "mix it up" approach sounds fun. Remember food builds muscle too, it doesn't always turn to fat (that's what I keep telling myself and considering my clothes feel looser but my weight is virtually unchanged, i think it's true for me, at the moment). So a couple meals of turkey & ham can be a good thing, as long as you get back.

Marla, you're reminding me that I need to think about Christmas tree, etc. My son's birthday is next week and I always stay so focused on that day, that I forget all the other stuff I have to do as soon as that day is past. Gonna hafta think about furniture movement, to fit the tree.

Looks like our impromptu feast + leftovers has helped to put my weekly calories in the deep red. boo!! Gotta try to salvage it a little Sat & Sun.
