I'm eating cleaner and preparing to start Whole30, but I'm nervous about where I can get enough protein as a vegan. Anyone have any experience?

And, vegan or not, what are your thoughts on the program? Any tips?

I'm a pescitarian doing Whole30. One of the big ways of getting protien on this diet for us is gonna be "Properly prepared beans". This is where you buy dried beans from the store (which is actually cheaper than buying canned beans), soak them in a bunch of water for a day, and then cook them. Hope that helped!

Thanks - it does! I'm thinking I'll start officially on 1.1, but I'm going to get used to the foods between now and then. I'll give it a shot ...

My understanding about Whole30 is that legumes (ie. beans) are not allowed... this is actually what has kept me from following Whole30...

Legumes are not allowed except for green beans, snap peas, and snow peas.

Looks like mushrooms and nuts are on the menu, plenty of protein there!
