Hi all,
I can't figure out if there is a way to search for groups and I am thinking about dabbling in strong(wo)man now that I have a few powerlifting meets under my belt. Does anyone know of any on here (or some way of searching groups? Hard to find like-minded people to network with when you can't search groups, MFP!!!)

There is a strongman group, but it's mostly inactive.0

I don't know of any strongman groups, But I have competed myself, and know a fair few people that do, feel free to add, or just ask away0

I competed in 2013, it was cool. I'm 48, 6'3" 240 lbs and finished 2nd in the heavy weight div. Most of the guys were over 300 lbs. and in their 20's and 30's. Google it to find local meets. I want to do another one but it is hard to find them. Also wanted to do the Highland Games.0

I never did come back to this after I posted! I am competing in 3 weeks in a women's only comp. I was trying to slowly cut from 170 down to 160 but that is looking less likely, so now I will probably be competing as a heavyweight at a BW around 168, give or take. I think I would have been pretty competitive as a MW but once again, weight loss just isn't working for me.
Strength wise I'm fine, I can handle all the HW loads (it is a beginner friendly contest) although I won't get many reps on the 325 DL!0
