Morning peeps, I'm back on my powerlifting journey... I need your help, I forgot how to figure out my calorie intake for the day? Working off 1.6gram for my body weight in protein. Any help is appreciated 🇮🇪😁

Review my plan, give your opinions
Yeah, I know I'm asking for it here. Just please be gentle. :) Just want to do the best I can! BackgroundThere's a long emotional backstory, which I'll shorten to this: In June 2017 I was driven to the gym to self-treat for depression brought on by grief. A coworker who has been lifting for a few years gave it to me…

How do you get in enough protein each day?
Hello Powerlifters, I've been told that a powerlifter needs a minimum of 1g protein per kg of bodyweight, and ideally 1.6 g per kg. That would put me around 160g of protein per day. I have a protein bar for breakfast and a protein shake in the afternoon for about 45g, then eat lunch and dinner with meat and dairy, and…

Powerlifter Talk
I just thought I would start a thread here where people can talk about their lifting history, how they got into powerlifting, upcoming meets, their training cycle / competition goals, etc. Mostly just a thread to learn more about the people in this Powerlifting Group. :) My name is Ashley and I've been training seriously…

Coming back from total rotator cuff surgery
Tore every tendon in the right shoulder 2013. Doc said he could get me back to 98%, I said I'll take it. 3 hours of surgery, 1.5 years to pain free, 2 years of working out to get back. Next couple of weeks I go for 405 lbs on the bench. So if you have an injury, it will heal and you can come back. Other small injuries just…

What about us with home gyms?
Hello one and all. I saw a rather old post on here with someone asking about powerlifting pals, so I thought I'd try the same. I'm from Ontario, Canada, and have done 3 competitions now and am hungry for more. I thought of joining a powerlifting club, but they all seem to require having a monthly membership at a gym, which…

First Meet - Advice?
Hello Powerlifters! I just signed up for my first meet - RPS Worcester County Strength Bounty (push/pull) in January 2017. It's a beginner/novice meet so I'm hoping it's not too stressful and I learn a lot. I'm planning to finish out my current cycle of PH3 with 1RM testing on December 9th and then figure out how to peak…

50...feeling old but feeling strong.
Not sure if I'll make it back fully but I'm having a blast trying to. 6'3 250 lb. 50 year old. Bad knees, bad back, surgically repaired shoulder. Benched Saturday, hit 315X8, 350X3, 370X1 and tried 385 but weight shifted to one side coming out of the rack to all my energy to bring it back to the groove so it pinned me half…
