Hi all! TGIF!
I'm still feeling kinda crappy, but DH had two meetings after work, so I had to take the kids to son's tutor (lil girl to the park) after school. Afterwards I tried a nap but lil girl didn't let me. DH is home now, but it's already dinner time (and rush hour at the gym), so I'll just have a rest day and hit the gym tomorrow and Sunday. I'd rather space my workouts out more, but no choice. This time of year has always been tough to work around DHs schedule and I'm doing better this year than previous.
Hope everyone's having a great Friday and making good choices during this tempting time of year. ;-)0 -
I wish there was some way to enjoy the holidays instead of them being so stressful. Seems like to no matter how you try to cut back, organize, do ahead, it always gets crazy!
Add to that the crowds that probably are why so many of our group got sick with all the germs floating around, people that normally would stay home are out forcing themselves to shop. I see people sniffling and coughing in my store all the time, I feel like hiding!
So all we can do in my opinion to retain good spirits about this is to have a sense of humor, watch some funny movies, not hate ourselves or our bodies if we eat or drink more, sit by the fire with a glass of hot brandy and power walk to the stores!
I am off today, making lemon bars to go with 7 layer bars I made for gifts, girl I work with says the boss likes baking gifts because she doesn't bake. I have dinner with boss and other lady later tonight at 7:30 after they get off work.
Its a rare day of sun before a huge storm comes in tonight either with a ton of snow or a ton of rain, they are not sure which. So putting on clothes and shoes that can do mush and mud and going for a walk by the river.
Tea with lots of lemon and funny movies girls!0
