When I logged in a day or two ago, I noticed that our number had increased by two. Welcome to the newcomers. Please introduce yourselves.

This group is a group of short folks who support each other's efforts to get to and maintain healthy weights and activity levels. This forum has been a big help to me. It's where I exchange ideas and stay accountable. I've looked at a few others groups on MFP that have not appealed to me. I don't go for cute graphics or inspiration sayings. I like that this group just talks like regular friends, and we keep each other going. We've been pretty tight knit, but we're always happy to welcome a newcomer into the fold. When the group started on the Bodybugg site several years ago, it was large. When Bodybugg was sold to BodyMedia and that message board went away, a small group of us stayed in touch, and a member found us a home on this site. Some of us use FitBits; I use the Bodybugg's replacement, i.e., a BodyMedia armband. But using an electronic device is just an option. I think at least one person uses this site to log food, but doesn't use a device to track activity any more. It's up to you.

Anyway, I was too rushed to write a welcome the other day, so I wanted to do that now. Happy Friday!

Sarah, you are so attentive :) Thanks for catching the increased number and giving a shout out of welcome :)

I'd like to join her in saying welcome to the new members in the group. We hope that you will feel comfortable joining the chatter and weigh ins with us. I use a fit bit and am the straggler in the weighins, posting when I can and trying to stay active. This is a really tough time of year for me with long work days and very little personal time. I'm really looking forward to when my work schedule will lighten up a bit in the next few months.

Maybe it's because I went on the Fitbit Community Boards and posted a link to our group :) A couple of people were looking for some support and since they have FitBits, I figured .. the more the merrier in our group!
