Need to lose

I need to lose 27 pounds but want to do it in way that I can maintain it and still be healthy. I have never been able to lose on most diets. This makes the most sense to me from what I read. Any suggestion would would be helpful.

    Go on the Scooby Workshop calculator. Do a 10-15% deficit. Realise that most of us aren't sedentary but start at the "light exercise" bit so add any exercise to that level (unless you truly are sedentary in every way other than exercise).

    And we recommend weight lifting if you can do it - helps with both weight loss and maintaining muscle. For macros - try to eat about 1g of protein per lean body weight (for example, I have about 28% fat, so I'd multiply my body weight by .72 to figure out how much protein I should eat) - if you don't know your body fat you can multiple by .8.
