Rough week for me to try to work towards my goals, but I didn't give up! ^
Walked to and from gym. Did shoulders and calves instead of shoulders and hips. I think I'll like putting hips onto leg day anyway, since I already have some hip exercises there anyway. I liked doing the small muscles together today. I beat my deltoids into submission. Lol.
Still sick and was basically unfed at my workout, so I was actually surprised of what I was capable of on some of the exercises. I like to see that kind of progress.

I'm sorry to hear you're still not feeling well Sherry. I'm sure your extra busy schedule right now doesn't help either. Happy to hear you got in a great weekend!
Marla it sounds like you came up with a solid list of coping mechanisms for the holidays! How did your boss like the baked goods? And is it raining or snowing?
We got a little bit of snow yesterday, chances for flurries today and tomorrow, then higher chances for snow Monday through Wednesday which might accumulate to several inches but should come down slowly enough to be manageable, then back to flurries Thursday through Saturday. In any event chance of snow 9 days in a row.
Yesterday I got up early, did 15 minutes on the spin bike, had a good session with my trainer (legs & upper core), worked 8 hours, went swimming (which did not go well, but at least I tried!), stopped at the Whole Foods Co-op, went to the gas station, stopped at the grocery store, and then came home and had to make a few trips to get everything from the car to the house. Between being exhausted and having been sick most of the week I managed to sleep 11 hours last night. I bought one of those seasonal depression lamps so as I type this I have that on and I'm rolling my foot on a roller I picked up at Target this week that says it's good for plantar fasciitis. I'm supposed to start running again in a couple of weeks and my foot doesn't feel any better than it did when I started my running break, so I decided I need to get more aggressive with treatment.
Workout assignment today is just an easy bike workout. Pre-Christmas happy hour with my sister & cousins this afternoon. My house is a disaster so today's project is to get the kitchen pulled together. It might take all day. When I'm sick and/or tired and/or busy I have a bad habit of just piling stuff on every available surface instead of putting things away, so my house looks like it's been ransacked.
