What is considered a short term goal & long term goal? I want to make short term goals to go with my long term goal that are realistic. I want to lose 2% body fat--how long is a good amount of time for that goal to be achieved? What could short term goals be? Thank you! :flowerforyou:

I think every person defines short and long differently. For me I have yearly goals, which I consider more long term, and then I have weekly goals and monthly goals which I consider more short term.

It highly depends on the cut you are doing and the kind of exercise you are doing for the time you can expect to see a drop of 2% body fat. It will also depend on what body fat you are starting at (a lot harder to go from 20% to 18% than from 32% to 30%).

I'd say anything dealing with the body should be long term open-ended goals for dates. You set a date, you'll be stressed most likely.

Just set open ended goal to lose 2% body fat eventually.

Amount of exercise is good short term goal, even pace goals should be open ended with no dates, or you risk hurting yourself.
