umm... eh? TDEE Calculations

So, I've been here a while... at first I used the MFP method, which has worked very well for me.

Then I went onto TDEE with a 20% defecit then 15% and that worked well but as I only have 14lb left has started to slow over the past few weeks.

I read in another thread about re-calculating TDEE when your progress slows and decided to have a recalculate. I only used the last 24 days' worth of logging because it reflected my 15% deficit and not the 20%.

My new TDEE is now higher than my old one. And I can understand that as I have used my most recent and higher calorie intake logs.

My question is: which one do I use? Do I stick with my original TDEE minus the 15%?

Or

Use my new calculation minus 15%?

OR

Use one or the other with 10%?

Ok, that's three questions!

Any thoughts would be appreciated. :)

My thoughts are that you don't re-calculate anything. I would prefer to see you look at two things:

    1) What is your weight doing?
    2) What is your intake averaging?

And with those two variables I would just manually nudge calories up or down.

Example: Suppose your weight loss completely stalls out for 4 weeks. You are averaging 1740 calories over that time period.

I'd rather see you just reduce calories by 50-100 and keep plugging away.

My weight is going down, albeit at a slower pace.

One of my other apps I use for tracking tells me my average weekly loss is .87 lb per week. It was at 0.94 lb per week.

My current average intake is 1885 calories a day.

Maybe I'm panicking? I've been doing so well these past few months that I notice this slow down and think "Oh no!"?

Given that you only have 14lbs left to lose and you're still losing at a rate of almost 1lb/week I wouldn't change a thing.
