Today's threadstarter is in honor of everybody ready to get back on track after the holidays. Seeing lots of challenges on my newsfeed lately - trying to navigate staying with relatives who don't keep healthy food options in the house, dealing with all the parties & dinners, not having time to work out. Sometimes the best you can hope for is to do the best you can under less than ideal circumstances.
I'm having an at-home day today. I will get my eating back on track after 3 days of family dinners. Even though I've been off work the past 3 days I've barely been home, so I'm treating today like a normal Saturday - I've started my laundry, I've got some dishes to wash, I've got a little bit of picking up to do around the house, etc. My workout homework is 45-60 minutes on the bike + low back exercises. I had low back exercises as part of yesterday's workout, so I'm skipping that today. Usually Jason has me do low back once a week so I'm sure he didn't intentionally assign them on consecutive days (I did a "12 days of fitness" workout yesterday & did both the Roman chair & superman as part of that).
Hope everybody has a nice weekend!0 -
Agreed! It's important to be gentle with ourselves when circumstances feel less than optimal. That's how we keep up the momentum, instead of getting crushed under the weight of it all. Hope you are having a nice quiet day at home, Laura.
Walked to the gym and crammed in two workouts, since I didn't get to go earlier this week due to DH's work. I did back, chest, shoulders and I'll do arms here at home later. Unfortunately, I was underfed at the time and doubling up was just a bit much, at where I am with all those exercises at the moment. By the time I got to shoulders, I was shaking and tired, so my shoulder exercises weren't great, but they were already worked in most of the chest & back exercises anyway. I then ran about 1/2 mile of the distance home and walked the rest.0
