Completely optional but a great way to start.

I am Shelley. I fell off the wagon and put on a few pounds. Pulling myself back up with the help of my friends here. I am 54, love dogs, cats and all things fishy. I work. Have two children and 4 grandchildren. I like to lift heavy things. Chris says no more trigger foods. I am going to listen to her!

Hi! I'm Chris. I fell off the same wagon Shelley fell off and also put on a few nasty pounds. We can do this together. I am...older than Shelley...love our grandpuppy, Bean, my daughter's cats are cute and get to stay at her place...I don't have fish. I work, too, but only until March 30th!! Tra la la la!! I have a beautiful daughter who just got married Dec 20th to a really sweet guy. I like to walk and am trying to beat my best record of 4.5 miles in 64 minutes.

No more trigger food...No more junk food. My motto for January.

    Welcome to the group!!

Good morning. I'm Kathy. I'm 55 and on a mission. My highest weight was 248 and I am now 202. So close to Onederland but the last few pounds lost have been because of this terrible flu so I don't trust staying at 202...probably more like 205 :D

I'm ready to get back on the wagon with Shelley & Chris. I am joining the no more junk food team. Before I got sick my night eating was out of control. My taste buds have changed...for now...and I am going with it. No trigger foods.

You will find a Great group of ladies who are very inspirational. This is my lowest weight in 15 years. Let's help each other reach our goals in the new year!

I am Clara. I am a library manager in the Houston, TX suburbs. I have a grown daughter who is engaged to a wonderful guy and they live about 5 hours drive from me in Louisiana. Aside from being too far from my daughter, I love my neighborhood and my job. Keeping weight at a reasonable amount but need to eat more veggies/fruit and less junk. Need to get back to exercising more also. So we'll do it together!

Hi I'm Mary from Canada (Ontario). I'm 51, married and have two grown children 22 and 24. We have a cat and a beagle who is the centre of our lives right now. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and we are going through our second round of chemo. She is in remission and doing well so far!

I am at the heaviest weight that I've ever been. I need to lose about 90lbs. It's time to finally lose the weight for good and focus on my health. This seems like a great group for support, inspiration and fun. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

Hi everyone! Really ate too much yesterday but will have less temptation today. Planning to drink lots of water today as I have had too much sodium, and feel puffy.

Pom poms up...pom poms down...shake em' left...shake em' right...5 pounds of puff gone in two nights!! Back to 140.4 this morning at 7:30. Now I have 10 pounds to get rid of by...say...my birthday March 12th. That is very doable. I will then retire a tall, slim grey-haired lady!!

Not sure what the plan is for today, haven't heard from my DD yet. We last power again last night, but our computers were fine this time around.

Hope everyone has a grand Saturday. I'll be back later.

    :p

Found the invite! Hoorah hooray, I'm back to stay!

I'm Paula - Two years ago I weighed twice as much as now. Of an age with Chris and also fighting 10 pounds. Want a challenge, Chris? Ten pounds by March? That would really require dedication for me! strength

Hey Shelley, is the group picture of you? That's what I want!!! That is really inspirational! Jealous!

My knees are so bad I can't do BodyFlow anymore. I need to get 10 pounds off my legs and onto my bony upper body - it needs muscles - so that's what I'll work on.

My children all say meow. After 25 years, my husband and I are still in love. We live in the mountains near the Pacific Ocean. I work to pay a mortgage but it's a good job.

    So glad to be back!

I've had knee surgery since that last post, which really helps, but I'm still not supposed to kneel much, so most my workouts are leaning against a wall.

Losing 15-20 pounds has taken up so much attention, I'd forgotten to also build upper body strength. Should concentrate on that too! Plus Shelley and Michelle's guns have me inspired. Back to the dumbbells!! :drinker:

    Paula

ps watching a Grimm rerun - Nick's infected and gone feral - oh nooo!

    Chris

But we are not putting more on! Yes losing it would be great. But I know that I for one would have packed it on if not for all you guys! Now put them pom poms in the air and shake them like Chris says to! <3

Paula I remember that Grimm! Just watched the new one last night. Great series! :) Now get lifting those dumb bells again! :)

Talk about a blast from the past!
