C25K on the treadmill

Hi guys!

I am a total noob when it comes to running. One of my goals this year is to run a 5K! I have head such great things about the program and want to try it!

My question is this... Since it's snowy and icy here (I live in Colorado), I would need to start the program on my treadmill. I presume that my brisk walk will be slower than my slow jog right? So am I really messing with the pace on the treadmill every minute as I work through the intervals?

I suppose I may be making a bigger deal out of this than it needs to be...

What do you all suggest?

TIA!

You will have to adjust the pace for each interval. This won't be as much of an issue as you progress to longer running times.

You should be able to talk while you are running. If not, slow down.

Be aware that running outside is completely different than running on a treadmill. Once you start running outside, it may be harder (or easier) than running on the treadmill. (I can't run on a treadmill- makes me dizzy!)

Good luck- you can do this!

I do my C25K on a treadmill. I work at these numbers with an incline of 2 so when I do move to outside running the different inclines won't be as much as a shock... maybe..

    Warm up/Warm down; 3.5
    Walk; 4
    Run 5.6/5.8
