Logging Food at a bbq

Hello!
I am going to a bbq in a few days, where the food is all layed out and you don't know exactly what is in everything (kind of bbq sauce, what's in the salads, etc) ... in these situations, I often decide not to log my food but then get a little manic with eating it. Especially after a beer or two. Any suggestions? Do you pick something comparable in the food log options (bbq chicken, baked beans, etc) and say you're around that??

I just pick something similar from the food list. Even if the calories are not exact, at least I can see what foods I ate if I want to go back later and have a look.0
