How often should you weigh in. I am not weighing myself, as I fear if I've not lost a good amount after working out 6 days a week and watching what I eat, it will be discouraging. Should I be weighing myself for other reasons. If so, how often?

  • I have been trying to weigh myself only once a week because I can become obsessed with the scale and trying to make the numbers drop. If you are working out, myabe do measurements monthly to help see the true progress!

And remember, a pound of rocks (muscle) takes up less space than a pound of feathers (fat)!

I shoot for once a week. I discovered a long time ago that if I get on more than that it just effects my day, good or bad, depending on the number. Usually the times I feel like I've lost nothing is when I get on and see a loss. But measurements and clothing are a really good gauge.

I weigh every other week, on payday. So that if the number sucks, I cheer up fast when I remember that it's payday!

But I really don't think you need to weigh yourself at all - if I weren't lazy I would do the right thing which is taking measurements.
