Crane Pose - Bakasana

Namaste!

Sooo Im getting into my arm balances, arm pressure balance (bhujapidasana) nailing it, Crane posture (bakasana) on the other hand has given me these lovely bruises in profile pic. lol. I can balance with my knees on the outside of the arms, but oh the pain with knees in the fleshy bit of my arm!

Any suggestions, just keep practicing?
Would just love to hear someone say, oh yeah that was me too but dont worry in time you get used to it and the bruising goes away eventually...?

    Actually, yes, the bruises go away and don't come back.

    There should be more lift in the abdomen, so you're not resting on you arms quite so much. Also, if you squeeze the legs toward one another, this lifts the abdomen and takes some pressure (oddly enough) off the arms.
