Hello everyone. I am new here so thought I'd say hello. My name is Heather. I am 37 and currently weigh 343 pounds. My highest weight was about 2 years ago at 362. I lost about 30 pounds a year ago then gained almost 20 of it back. In the last couple months i've managed to loose a few pounds and maintain through the holidays. My goal is 230lbs. I know that is still heavy but it is the lightest I have ever been as an adult when I was 19 and it was when I felt my best and felt healthy. I know I will never be skinny but I do need to loose weight to be healthier. I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apena all from being heavy and I have asthma and anxiety/depression which I have always had but my weight has made them worse. I have been married to my second husband (who weighs almost as much as I do) for 4 years and have two boys 13 and 9. My 9 year old is autistic and they both have ADHD. I also work full time and go to school so needless to say I have my hands full. I want to loose weight to get healthier and so I can be a better mom/wife and be more active and be there for my family for a longer time. I am trying to get back on track and get my weight loss going again. I think my biggest short term goal is to get into the 320s as It has been forever since i've been there and it feels like i've been stuck between 335 and 345 forever. I'm looking for people to talk with and share with who are also larger and have a lot of weight to loose. Everyone I know in person even if they are heavy are no more than 225lbs so its hard for them to understand some of my more unique challenges. I look forward to reading about everyone's journeys and successes and hope this group will help give me the support/motivation I need to keep at it.
