very low calorie diet- I would be suicidal!

Just read about Very Low Calorie diet, on MFP. HOW DEPRESSING! Thank goodness for LCHF!! So doable and no hunger. Ahhhhh. Glad to have you all as friends here.

    Which one was that? Most of MFP is obsessed with very low calorie diets. Then I consider 1200 calories to be insanely low.

    If you do the drops one...oh, crud, that one that uses the pregnancy hormone stuff to force burn fat (isn't LCHF so much simpler?), I think you can have maximum 700 calories per day... And yeah....not so much.

    P.S. I think it is called HCG?

    lol, does it really matter? There comes a point where one really should re-evaluate the system when the response to "I'm eating 900 calories and still can't lose weight" is "if you're not losing weight, you're eating too much."

    What boggles my mind is that unless the person is consuming less than 1200 or so and working out all day, every day, it's all a matter of "willpower" to only eat 1 cookie or half a piece of cake or an actual serving of spaghetti (vs a portion that is double or triple a serving) and if you fail on it, it's your own fault for not having enough willpower. Yet, we're considered the "extremists" with our "unhealthy, unbalanced" diets that they could never stick to, and because they don't think they could stick to it, anyone who shows even the slightest hint of struggle with LCHF is no longer at fault for lack of "willpower," but rather it's the diet to blame. :confounded:

    Hypocrites blame whatever it is that isn't what they do... Such is the way... The don't really want to help themselves anyway...

    When I first started on mfp I was assigned a 1200 a day goal....I literally couldn't eat real food, and I was so irritable my family was being driven nuts. I upped my calories to 1400 and I was still irritable, wasn't yesterday though, and only ate like 700 on a lchf plan
