It was a whirlwind of activity for us yesterday! We took the Christmas stuff down, cleared out all the nooks and crannies, reorganized things, and rearranged almost all the furniture. Now the kids have a little mini- play area in the living room where they can make a mess and it won't spread into the area where we sit and hang out. Last night was great, we had all the people for our bible study over for dinner. My kids are continually making a mess, so it's always a battle to try and keep the house clean and functional. But with our new arrangement, I realized at the end of the night that the kids had gotten toys out to play with and made a mess, but you couldn't see it. So score one for the new arrangement!

About four more days until I can start working out again! I'm so excited! Today I have some PTO stuff to do in the morning, and I plan to clean up our bedroom (which looks like a small bomb went off because we just shoved stuff in there as we were rearranging) and tonight we're dropping the kids off and going out to eat and then heading to ikea to nab some new shelves and buckets to organize our stuff better. I'm actually very excited...and I hate shopping. Being without the kids helps...and the fact that it's ikea.

    Have a great Thursday!

Lol Val I was having shoulder pain then busy working before we left Tuesday on 5 day trip so mine is still up!

We are at WA ocean at really cool place overlooking the water with fireplace for husbands bday Friday. So far have had lots of walks on the beach. Today treating myself to massage and will swim in their pool first.

No wifi in room we are at at place farthest north, very quiet. Nice and relaxing. Will check in again when I get home.

Omg yall make me feel so much better b/c I got the Christmas stuff down sometime over the weekend (Sat?) but I was just sure that I was the last person still with the tree up. I gave myself a pass because of prepping for DHs travel but still I wouldn't open the blinds so the neighbors wouldn't see the tree! Lol! When I put it away I realized there was more space than I thought in that closet, so half of lil miss's room is now shoved into bins in that closet. I just needed clear spaces for a few days because I was losing my sanity. I'm terrible at housework and live in total chaos here, so just knowing that I got the tree down in an acceptable timeframe makes me feel so much better. My US family are the type to have everything always looking like Better Homes and Garden, so I can't base anything off them. They put things away like Jan 2nd and have the housekeeper do a full cleaning, etc, and have contractors who do the outdoor lights etc. Needless to say, I spend my entire life feeling utterly inadequate. For once, I feel normal. :-)

Well, more "nothing to report" from me. My main goal for now is to stay sane and I'm about 50-50 on that. Lol. Anyway, four day weekend (due to elections) starts immediately which makes it muuuuuuuch easier. When the long weekend ends, DH will be back, so I feel like I'm in the home stretch.

    Have a good one!
