Resistance Bands

Hi all - I got a JMBR set that didn't come with resistance bands. I have some from before that I've been using, but I can't to do the full range of motion for one of the exercises in the weeks 3&4 workouts (I think it was on disk 3). I think the band is too heavy. What bands are you all using? I want to buy a set of different weights possibly that I can progress through. Anyone know how long their band is? I wonder if 48" is standard for these.
Thanks for any input!

I am using the Jillian one for workout 3 (the chest press exercise) but for the other exercises we've had to do so far with a band, that has not had enough resistance. For those exercises I used a PowerTube which comes with a door attachment and a booklet on various exercises you can do with it.0

I don't have the original cable either so I use this:
lonsdale.com/lonsdale-resistance-training-rope-761771http://
It is long enough because I can step on it and extend my arms above my head without any problem - so it should stretch to a maximum of 4 m. When I bought it, I tried it, to make sure,as I read some comments about JMBR and other cables not being long enough.
And yes, progressing by increasing the weight is a GOOD idea! I'm saying this because this is my second time I am doing Body Revolution and I use heavier weights now (up to 6.5 kg dumbbells) and I remember not finding the workouts in the first phase challenging enough the first time, but now I am sore and I feel them!0 -
Thanks for your responses. I'm certain the band I have has too much resistance and I'm going to stop at Target before my work out this evening to see if I can get something lighter. I can't get my arms even close to straightened out on those chest presses.0
