Oh Happy Day! It really does work!

Ten days ago I posted questions regarding whether this process would work for very overweight people. At that point I had been eating increased calories for about two weeks and strength training for 2 months. While I wasn't seeing any loss, I wasn't seeing any gain either. I was feeling that particular brand of crazy desperation that comes from a very long (6 month) plateau after significant weight loss (45 lbs) eating low calorie.
Some lovely people responded to that post with encouragement and information which kept me on track. Thanks to those lovely people! Today I can say that I've finally blown past my lower plateau weight (I had been hovering above it, losing and gaining the same 4 pounds for months) and am lifting much heavier weights in the gym. In addition, my mood is up and I'm even eating more carbs (120 - 180 g/day instead of 60 - 100 g/day) which I believe has contributed to the contented mood.
As such, I can attest to the validity of this lifestyle. I'm more energetic, I'm happier, I'm stronger, AND the weight is coming off!
Oh Happy Day indeed!

Great work.
And as those workouts can be harder with more energy, and have good recovery, the body will want to transform even more. You'll see more changes in the mirror than probably numbers on the scale, though that should happen too.0 -
So happy for you! Be sure to take monthly measurements and photos because when you are eating adequately and working out right you can see huge body recomp while the scale stays the same. Awesome work!!!!!0
