Weekly Warrior Mini Goal Challenge 1/25 - 1/31 (2015)

In the weekly Warrior Mini-Goal Challenge focus on your short term goals.

Focusing on one week at a time, when the big picture seems too overwhelming. Small changes can bring on big results!!

Choose one or more things you want to work on for just this week. Don't set it too high or unreachable!!

Please, make sure your week works for you. Sun to Sat or Mon to Sun, whatever is YOUR week!

You can reach your main goal if you break it into small actionable steps. It could be as easy as 1-2-3!

1) Choose something you know you can do easily.
2) Add more difficult tasks to your plan.
3) These small steps will get you started, motivated & help build routine for long term success!!

Anyone interested in joining us for another week, or a first week, or a get back on track week?

Check in often, have a great week and do the best you can! B)<3

I have a new MFP friend that I met last week when I was greeting on the Intro thread. I just now invited her to join the group so she could make more friends than just me. ;) I know everyone will welcome her warmly if she decides to jump in and join us!

Thanks again Hearts for getting the new week started and hope your new friend is able to join us <3

I had been stumbling since my Florida vacation, but FINALLY was able to get on track this past week, so to help keep the positive flow going I am going to stay with the course of last week's goals but tweak them a little by increasing the number of days for attaining them:

    This week my goals are:

    1. Make healthy food choices 6/7days (allowing one free day with 1 sweet or carb treat)
    2. Stay within calorie goal 6/7 days
    3. Drink 7-8 glasses of water 6/7 days
    4. Log 6/7 days
    5. Exercise at least 3/7 days

It's hard sometimes when you leave home and travel and get out of a routine then come back.. it's like you have to get back in the swing of things. Easier said than done but I know you can do it Girl! ;)

    Hello Warriors! <3

Thanks Hearts for awesome inspiration you keep before us each week! Love it!

Sorry last week was not able to check back in. I got overwhelmed at work with 2 of my coworkers out of the office.

I am going to try something different this week because I am in another challenge and my mini weight goal is to lose 6 pounds this week. I know that is aggressive but it is totally doable for me if I stay focused and eat cleanly. I maintained my weight loss so far this year which I will take but this week going to hit it hard in order to meet this goal.

Mini Goals week 1/26 to 2/1:
1.) Stay in green on calories
2.) No fast foods and vending machine foods
3.) Get 6.5 or greater hours of sleep 5 days - 46 hours week total o:)
4.) Burn 3750 calories 5 days (per fitbit)
    5.) mini goal weight

    Check-in:
    1.) 0/7
    2.) 0/7
    3.) 0/5 - 0/46
    4.) 0/5
    5.) 0/6

  • Hi Everyone! Thank you to Hearts for inviting me to join this group! I belonged to MFP a few years ago and then stopped. I just recently rejoined. This time I thought I would try something different and connect with a group to help me instead of going it alone. I am a binge eater who sometimes has control over it but often doesn't. If anyone would like to friend me I would love the support. Hearts has been really motivating, thank you! I moved two of my kids back to college today and I miss them already! I am happy to have made healthy choices and stayed on track for today at least!

My mini goal for this week will be

Have a bowl of soup before anything else when I get home from work.

That's it for this week. Baby steps.

Welcome to all the new ladies

My mini goals for this week are going to be all about exercising. I have the tracking of food down pat( 25 days in a row) and now need to concentrate on exercising. I have osteoarthritis in my lower back so I have to pick low impact exercises and have to watch how hard I push myself.

My week is Monday to Sunday
Mini Exercise Goals for January 26/15 to February 1/15

Monday, January 26 - Line Dancing -60 to 120 minutes - 2pm to 4pm( if cancelled will Walk for 60 minutes.)
    Tuesday, January 27 - Aqua fit class - 60 minutes - 6:30pm to 7:30pm
    Wednesday, January 28 - Aqua fit class - 60 minutes- 9:00am to 10:00 am
Thursday, January 29 - Aqua fit class - 50 minutes OR Walking- 60 minutes OR Water Running- 30 minutes
    Friday, January 30 - Aqua fit class - 60 minutes - 9:00am to 10:00am
    Saturday, January 31- Break
Sunday, February 1 - Walking 60 minutes OR May be another day off.... depending on how I am feeling and if I got all the other exercises in for the week.
Here's to getting into the exercise habit!!!!!!!!

So I met some of my goals yesterday:
    walked the doggies walking-the-dog-smiley-emoticon.gif

    Logged m03108.gif

But didn't drink quite enough water and WAY over did it with popcorn at the movies last night!!! popcorn.gif

My downfall was that there is this new movie theater called roadhouse where the seats are all leather recliners, and they serve meals and snacks etc. With the press of a button, a waiter pops over and gets you whatever you want. I thought I was being pretty good, as I ate a protein bar before I left and ordered water to drink and passed on things like the huge brownie my husband got and ordered popcorn. Well, turns out they have a variety of popcorns and , as the waiter explains, you can order different varities two at a time and have endless amounts (which they serve in this huge metal bowl) and even get a bag of whatever kind you like at the end to take home, he makes sure to add. OMG this cute little waiter was a binge eaters satan in disguise I swear! ! smileys-devil-042296.gif

So, I stumbled stumble.gif and have a tummy ache and acid reflux which is a good reminder as to why I choose to make HEALTHY choices, practice PORTION CONTROL and live a HEALTHY lifestyle!

Onward and upward for the rest of the week. I'm going to plan my meals for the next several days and go to the grocery store(s) and walk the doggies today.

Hope all you lovely ladies have a marvelous Monday :)

Hi Genie - welcome to our great group. I love your goals. We now have a lockable "snack cupboard" where I work. When my two colleagues started competing for who could bring the most decadent snacks to work, this issue arose. They would leave their yummy treats out on the counter, in plain view, for anyone using the kitchen. So, I re-purposed a large keyed mailbox we had, and had maintenance put it up for us. I then had copies of the key made for everyone but me. It's a very funny dynamic - I could go on about it, but suffice it to say, I was asking for them to tone down the advertising via counter top, so that I could safely get my water bottle refilled, or my healthy lunch out of the fridge, without it being such a danger zone. Seems to be working so long as they use the cubby.

Hi ems2345 - good move on the baby steps. Filling up on the healthy stuff first works wonders, and so does coming here each day to tell us all about it!! I've been on a streak, and it's in large part due to keeping up with this group of lovely warrior women who are in the same boat. We are headed to a better version of self together.

Julie's goals for this week before Florida beckons...
    1) Track and be green (0/5)
    2) Strength training x 2 (0/2)
    3) Focus and get your work finished up so you can enjoy your vacation!!

    Hello Weekly Warriors!

I've been MIA from this group for a long time, so it is wonderful to pop in and see my lovely friends & some new faces.

I'm Jenn, and I have been an off & on MFP user since 2011. I've never deactivated my account, I just sort of go dark for a while when life gets crazy. Let's just say that the last 6 months have felt like I was trapped in a sandstorm. My eyes are filled with grit; I can't see where I'm supposed to be going; it's hard to breathe, and I'm overwhelmed.

Surprisingly, the reason I checked in today is because my husband, without me noticing, found our scale (we moved into a new apt in Dec) and put it the kitchen where we had it in our old place. I was actually excited to see it there. It was like, "Okay, this is familiar. I can work with this to find some sense of routine/normal again."

So here I am, checking in with only one goal for the rest of this week:

Check in with this wonderful group every day (Tu-Sat) and remember that no matter how lost I might feel, I am not alone.

Much love to the wonderful women who have stayed the course & kept this beautiful group alive & positive & supportive. You have no idea how much of a blessing you are in my life. Muah!!!

    Hello all!
I has been a very LONG time since I've been on the board!

I'm Meghan (Meg) I've been an MFP'er since Jan 2011. I lost 65 pounds, but due to two hip surgeries (one in 2012 & one in 2013) I have gained a majority of that back. And the only reasons are that I have simply gotten lazy and slipped back into a lot of my old eating habits.
Today that changes! I'm going to start working on braking my lazy spell and I thought this would be the best place to start.

My goal for today: Do some sort of workout when I get home from work.

    HUGS to you all!
