Supplements? Specifically BCAAs

Hey all,
So I don't regularly supplement my diet - no shakes, pre workout or anything like that. Approx 6 mths ago I started taking fish oil, glucosamine and magnesium in order to help my muscles and joints recover better from workouts and be less prone to injury. I'll admit - I am not very good at remembering to take them and only have them about 40% of the time.
A little while ago I injured my glute (?) I think - today a person at the gym asked how it was recovering and said I ought to think about BCAAs. I know nothing about them and thought I'd get a good answer without the BS here - so any thoughts?
(Female, lifting 3 x per week, 2 x cardio, approx. 2000 cals with 100-120g protein per day) - thanks :-)

Personal opinion based on what I've read:
I'm not convinced that they are a good use of money provided that your total protein intake is adequate and provided that you're not training fasted.0 -
BCAAs won't do anything to help your injured glute heal. Unless you keep reinjuring it due to having excessive cash in your pocket.0
