What are your reasons to get fit?

What are your reasons to get fit? And how do you keep yourself motivated?

I want to get fit is because I want to lose some weight and finally feel confident in my body.
I sometimes have a difficult time to stay motivated, but I try to motivate myself now by motivating others. I also motivate myself by looking at the scale every single day and shame myself whenever I gain weight.

    I was a bare knuckle fighter and stopped fighting a year ago. That and other stuff got me depressed over the winter and I gained a **** ton of weight. I decided that I am going to fight again. There is a big deal fight in costa rica next april and I am going to lose 35 pounds and train to fight in the karate pan am games.. I might even win
