Jen I hope you just had an extra 0 in there and you didn't actually walk 100,000 steps yesterday. Or if you did, I bow to you.

Slept pretty well last night but am still exhausted. Pilates & swim lesson tonight so it's going to be another late night.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

My thoughts exactly about all those zeros! :-)

Well, no great triumphant return for me today. Rain. boo! Plus I stayed home, fed hubby after his workday, helped son with homework, and kept lil girl busy so DH could make some phone calls and then sleep off the jet lag. Also helping him to do a big computer update, so kinda busy. Looks like rain all week and DH has a list of after-work appointments he needs to schedule. :-/ I'll just have to see how it plays out this week. That's what I hate about his travels--it's not just the time he's gone, but also the week leading upto it and after it that keeps him too busy for lil girl duties while I workout. Ah, but it just occurred to me that son doesn't have tkd the rest of this month, so maybe after dh's jet lag is over, I can hit the gym in the evening. Hmmm :)

Home and finally back at Nia class. Its all foggy and overcast here, wow it gets on the attitude I feel sort of depressed...

I have a lot to do around here and headed into larger town for appt later so that will take my mind off weather.

Sherri do you have any other mom friends? When my kids were little my best friend and I used to do trade babysitting so we could each have a break.

Marla, there is a large age difference in my kids. I've had mom friend of kids my daughters age, but they all left the country due to the economic situation here. Perhaps I'll meet more when she starts school. I have an English speaking Mom friend who has sons my sons age, but my daughter is so much younger (her speech is very hard to understand because of the two languages too, it'll improve with time). Most of my sons friends at school have Greek or other European parents (such as Ukrainian, Albanian, etc). Some speak a little English, but it's very difficult to build a relationship with such a language barrier. Plain and simple: most English speakers fled a long time ago. We had one very sad year when it seemed someone moved away every month. :-( and anyway, when you find an expat friend who speaks English and has kids of the same age, you work really hard to make it work, even when that means they live very far away--which has usually been the case. It's fine for occasional meetups, but not for any kind of babysitting or other convenient things like I see my sister in the U.S. with her neighbors doing. But it's okay. We manage. :)

Jen, you certainly had happy feet yesterday.

Laura, just reading what you’ve been up to is making me tired! I’m impressed with your stamina!

Marla, I’m the same way with lack of sunshine affecting me.

Sherry, it sounds like it can be isolating sometimes. I hope that you make good use of Skype and similar to stay in touch with pals and family.

Last night I was very tired and cranky and belligerent. I should have just gone to bed at 8pm :(

I’ve been having a healthy day so far and hubs is making turkey tacos tonight, which sounds good, though I also kind of want popcorn again :). I have been feeling stressed in my shoulders/neck so am going to pull out the weird looking tools and use them tonight.
