I am a chef so my life is about food. Good food, I have only missed 2 days since I started tracking. I haven't weighed myself for a long time though. That is always so freaking depressing. My husband doesn't gain weight or even seem to care about food. I think about food all the time. I have also been on this weight loss train since I was 13. So now I try to take it one day at a time . Little by little hoping that the changes I make will stick.

I have decided I will stay sane if I take it the same way. Instead of focusing on I have 40 l s to lose, I am taking it one day at stone. By logging my food I am learning a lot about what's going into me. Also just for starters honoring tues thurs sat 30 mins on elliptical at 95% max heart rate for serious burn. Fitness watch that lets me check my heart rate is key. This is serious business - I am on a low dose blood pressure rx and want to kick it so am hoping to succeed through regular exercise and reading posts from my sisters here. One day at a time!

One day at a time is all you can do. If you don't want to use a scale, then take your body measurements and check them every 2 weeks or 1x per month. Let the feel of your clothes tell you that tracking is working. I have been tracking for about 3 weeks now. I have focused on my foods, getting myself into the habit of meal planning again, packing my meals and snacks for the day. Now that I have that built into my routine it is time to add in the movement.

My current plan is to add 3 15 minute blocks to my day. I am working it in before work, lunch break and after work. I will adjust as needed. I arrived early to pick my son up from his practice today and I walked in the parking lot. I am working it in where I can.

I have read that 3 weeks it what it takes for something to become a habit.....just pick one thing focus on that and then slowly add to it. Good luck and fee free to send me a friend request.
