They say that as long as you don't trigger a hunger response your metabolism will obey the calories in and out. but at what point of the day when you say there is a 500,1000, or even higher that your body give you real hunger pains vs the it's safe to not eat anymore.

When you are moderately of a caloric deficit what does that feel like, baring emotional issues around food. Is it "I could eat but I won't."

What are the signs that your diet plan is way to extreme and to put back calories suffer a slower metabolism.. and how quickly does the body respond, does it take on immediately or does it take a few days?

    I'll mention several studies have shown that metabolism actually goes up in a 72 hr fast.
    Takes a nose dive after that though.

    But that's just metabolism, body usually starts conserving calories by slowing you down in your daily activities, making you burn less in TDEE.
