Hi Everyone, I'm new to LCHF. Been eating this way for one week and feel really good!
I've been aiming for 30-50g carb / 100-130g fat / 70-74g protein per day but don't worry about missing the target (above or below) occasionally. Most days I'm struggling to get enough protein but do fairly well with the other 2 targets.
Today I have really not wanted to eat. Had a pretty small brunch at noon and have just had a decent sized meal for dinner at 7pm. Just going with the flow to see what develops.
I have 9 kgs (20 lbs) to lose for my first goal and then another 6 kgs (13 lbs) to reach goal weight.
I don't know if this forum notifies me of replies, or do I have to check back to find them? I wrote somewhere yesterday and can't find it again now to see if anyone replied.

You'll have to check back here. There's no notifications, that I am aware of.
Welcome to the LCD group. I wouldn't worry about 1 day below your goals. I try and think of nutrient goals on a weekly basis, not daily. So, one day being over or one day being low isn't bad. It only starts being a problem when the whole week is too low or too high.0 -
Thank you so much FIT_Goat - for both the reply and for the reassurance, I wasn't totally sure 'missing the goals' was alright. Ideally I'd love not to measure anything, but I think I need this until I know fully what foods belong in my new diet.0

Welcome Granny. I get a notice when someone puts @ symbol in front of my user name so I will try that. It is the Bell symbol in upper right corner of screen area.

Welcome Granny! This is my first attempt at LCHF. It takes awhile to get into a new way of eating and thinking about food. I am still nervous about not limiting calories and enjoying so much fat (like roast pork and butter on vegetables). So far the scale has not gone up. Everyone in this group has been helpful and friendly! Good luck...0
