Does anyone have a consuming goal?

So I'm sitting here as lunch approaches and my stomach is growling and I'm thinking, "Maaann how sweet would it be if, someday, I had enough muscle to look awesome and eat 2200 every day to maintain my weight? Imagine the awesome Saturdays I could have if I ate 2000 every other day of the week and at the remaining on Saturdays!"

I'm curious, now, if anyone else ever had a "I want to be able to eat *thiiiiis* much!" goal. If you did, what would you have to do to get there?

I fiddled around with the IIFYM calculator (and have no idea how accurate it is) and found by the time I'm 28 (1.5 years), I'd need to gain 15 lbs, get my BF to about 22% and I'd still only be able to eat 2165 a day after exercising 5 days a week.

If I were 20% BF at the same weight and daily exercise, I could eat 2207 calories a day! But of course that probably means SOMEHOW gaining like... 12-17 lbs of muscle. On a woman. Just sayin.

Perhaps this is something to aspire to, but not plan for hahah. Especially since I don't have any body building plans, really. Just general aesthetics for my personal everyday life.

I guess I'm feeling like this is kind of an odd (and fun?) topic and just felt like sharing...

How much do you want to eat daily and what would your stats need to be (of the things you can change) to be able to eat it? Based on how much time you're willing to spend in the gym, of course. I mean, if I wanted to go there for hours every single day, maybe I could eat more... but when would I have time to eat is the question?

  • That is a great question! In for knowledge.

I'm much older (soon to be 51) but also want to eat "as much as I can" and maintain a reasonable weight. Currently I am at 1700 cals per day on lifting days and try to stay under by 200-300 cals on non-lifting days. I am losing slowly. I would like to eat 2000 calories a day and not have to worry about it...

That would be awesome! Of course, the older and smaller you are, the harder and harder it gets.

As a general goal, I think all of us would like to be able to maintain a healthy weight and eat as much as possible.

My goal is 2500. Workout days I'm getting close to 2300 and still losing slowly. So I'm getting close:)
