Today was my fastest mile yet, 46 minutes. I realize a competitive swimmer can cut that in half, but in February it was 56 minutes and I still have over 100 lbs to lose. I'll get there eventually.

    Ten minutes is HUGE !! Thats an 18% improvement. Most people would be estatic for a thirty second or less improvement. Keep going

    Shaving 10 minutes off in the time period is awesome.
    Don't worry about what competitors do. I get lapped all the time by the kids and former swim team adults. But they are all out of the pool long before me. I have distance goals, not speed goals. :bigsmile:

    Swimming has certainly helped me. Great no impact way to work every major muscle group in ways the weight room won't.
