    Hey everyone!

Laura - Congrats on 2 years! That's fantastic! I had been reading an article about why so often we fail at our New Year's resolutions about losing weight or getting healthy. It basically boiled down to how we view ourselves and setting realistic goals. Whatever you did, you have done a fantastic job! Also, I had heard you can get here from the app..but couldn't find how. How did you do it?

Sherry - TOM is always a good time to have a rest and recovery week. Where you dial it back a little. Of course, I'm finally now appreciating the fact that I will not have to deal with that anymore! I will still get a bit of the mood swings since I still have my ovaries and the hormones. But it's awesome to here that in spite of the TOM you're still doing well!

Speaking of TOM, I'm finally realizing how plagued I was with the excessive bleeding and how awesome it is not having to deal with that anymore! When I got out of the pool on Monday, my automatic reaction was to check to make sure my tampon hadn't given out and left me bleeding down my legs. That is how bad it had gotten. But not anymore!

Did my strides yesterday and then went to the zoo. I am sore today! I am headed to the Y to get on a bike and do an aerobic time trial there, and this evening I'm doing my upper body lifts, My goals this year as far as triathlon training was to be better at assessing myself every 4 weeks and to be more consistent with strength training. Week 1 is going well at least! :)

    Have a great Thursday everyone!

April, those stupid heavy weigh ins are discouraging and that's the truth. But remember to focus on being fit and lively and healthy and having longevity, etc. with all that, you're winning even on those stupid blip days where the scale messes with your head.

val, I know what you mean. I don't swim during tom, well not the first four days anyway. No way! You must be so relieved. I cannot imagine never having to think about it again! It was always the one benefit of pregnancy, haha! You are so smart to be assessing yourself every 4 weeks this year. I am supposed to test my heartrate training every 4 weeks, but I don't know of a track where I can do it. The one in my neighborhood, you have to pay a monthly membership, which would be silly to use only once every 4weeks, which is all I would probably use it. I may search for another track, or ask around.

Laura, happy anniversary! What a ride! I know you must've never imagined yourself as the person you are now, right?

Had a crazy day. Son had casting after school. Picked him up from school and they'd been playing outside all day and he had a headache from being in the sun all day. I got him a vitamin juice and his first ever Depon tablet (Tylenol) and after 45min at the tutor he felt better. I jogged at the park during the tutor since I didn't have much time, and after the tutor we caught the bus way down the coast to the casting where he did some heavy negotiating with some ad execs! Then the long bus ride home and picked up dinner on the way home. Long day, but only a short run for me today.

Thanks for the nice words. I'm trying to keep my chin up.

Congrats, Laura! You've been at least two different people between 2013-now. Awesome job!

Val, I love seeing your exercise ambitions. It's really exciting!

Sherry, even though your run was short it seems like you're certainly very active! I sit in front of my computer or in conference room C all day and it takes a lot of effort to move it.

Last night I would have inhaled treats but luckily I don't keep them in the house and was too lazy to put bra back on and go out lol
