^haha!
Well I found out DH has afternoon appt. Haven't heard from the agency yet about son's casting, which will determine if I have to take him to get his hair cut this afternoon. Either way, I won't get to do the gym after school. Time will tell if I can get to it later, but I think DH's appt will run late. :-(
Anyway, TGIF!0 -
Today is my rest and recovery day. So no workouts for me! I did get in my indoor bike yesterday and my upper body weight lifting! Hubby and I had a "date night" last night. We had pizza and a movie with the kids, then put them to bed and played a board game. It was a nice night together.
Today is grocery shopping and then I have childcare at church and then this afternoon I'm volunteering at my daughters' school. But the evening should be calm...I hope!
I'm also considering getting a Fitbit. Anyone have any experience with them? I think the data would be nice, especially tracking how well I sleep. I also like the silent alarm.
Have a great Friday everyone!0 -
Well strange day here. DH had appt and I had to take son for haircut but it came a big rainstorm as I picked up from school. Also we got a non-rain-related leak in our bathroom ceiling. So, after the haircut the skies completely cleared and DH came home and had to stay to wait for the plumber, so I headed out. I packed my gym towel and locker lock, but once I got out there I decided to run and got in about two hours and picked up groceries on the way home. Oh, also found a great running store (happy dance).
Have a nice recovery day val!0 -
Hi, having a tough month. Right now doing non stop cleaning and organizing. Ugh! We show house for first time n Sunday. We were procrastinating on doing stuff because house was not going on market until April and I was tired from Xmas. Finally got Xmas stuff all put away took longer because I went through all boxes for the move. Then realtor emails a few days ago can we show to one couple early...gave us a good kick in the buns but I am exhausted. My exercise is cleaning and running up and down my stairs tons of times every day. I work next 3 days, I think work will be restful!0

Val I'm a Fitbit junkie. I've had the Ultra (died but customer service replaced it with the One), One, Flex (died after the warranty was up), Surge (returned it), Charge HR (loving it so far) and I have the Aria scale.
Sherry how did you find a running store? That's great news.
Sorry to hear about your crazy month, Marla. Hang in there! Selling a house is so much work.
I had a crappy day. I was in a bad mood this morning and put my trainer in a bad mood so then he was yelling at me. I ate a crappy lunch which then got me in further trouble with said trainer (because I made the mistake of posting a photo on Facebook, which led to a couple of terse posts and then an angry text). Marathon is 19 weeks from tomorrow so I promised him I would clean up my eating. I skipped my swim after work because I've been dealing with a cold/sinus and from past experience chlorine is a bad idea when my sinuses are bad because it burns. I stopped to visit my parents (and the puppy they've had for a week instead), then went to Walmart & the grocery store and stocked up on healthy foods. I have found in the past when I eat with the mindset that I need to fuel my body the right way for activities it's much easier to make good food choices than when I eat with the nindset that I have to lose weight. I'm embracing the positive (healthy fuels) vs the negative (I feel fat so I have to restrict myself). And if training for a marathon doesn't require healthy fuels then I don't know what will.0
