Hi All! I'm scheduled to donate blood tomorrow. I work out in the mornings. I will be fine tomorrow morning obviously as that will be before I donate. Probably I should take Friday morning off as a rest day? Anyone have any experience giving blood and doing Body Revolution? It's not covered in Jillian's guide  I know it messes with my running for up to two days after donation. Anyone have experience

I have no experience but you could search the discussion board. Hope this helps. You may have to double up workouts on Saturday. Lol!!

I haven't done that either, so I cannot tell. But if you want to make sure you give 100% during your workouts and not being able to do your usual best leads to frustration, it might be better to have that day off.

    Nobody wants my blood! LOL!

It's good that you're thinking about it now - in case the loss of blood could make you dizzy or faint.

So how was it? Have you taken Friday off?

My second worst blood donation. I didn't fill the bag. They tried my right arm twice and my left arm once. And then it clotted off right away. Bummer. I was trying hard to do the right thing!

The positive of it was my blood pressure keeps improving! It was 124/60. My personal best was two weeks before I got pregnant with our youngest at 110/60. My personal worst was two days after I gave birth to our youngest. It was 184/110. Thankfully I was still in the hospital so they could give meds to control it.

So my blood volume was almost normal Friday. However, I did take the day off. I slept in until 6:00 am which I really needed.

I will be back on track in week 6 tomorrow. I don't know if I will make up the lost day or not.

    Pardon the rambling!

:) I'm sorry things didn't go well with the blood donation.
Your blood pressure however looks like a nice NSV! It's a good reminder that we benefit from exercising more than we can tell by just looking in the mirror.
