needing ideas to increase fat

I think ive been eating too much protein and need to be getting more fat. Any ideas on some foods that have more fat?

    I try to have two tablespoons of coconut oil a day. I measure it out in the morning and add it to whatever hot drink I'm drinking ( coffee, tea ), and I add it to whatever I'm cooking. I also add olive oil to my salads. I heard fat bombs are good too. I haven't tried them but next grocery run I'm thinking about trying one.

    cook with lard, tallow, bacon grease, or oils with high smoke points. add nut oils, avocado oil, butter, olive oil, etc. to salads or on cooked veggies. eat cream cheese, full fat sour cream, heavy whipping cream, cheeses, full fat salad dressings like blue cheese or ranch. eat fatty cuts of meat and the skin from your poultry. eat macadamia nuts.

    doing these things will increase your fat grams without adding bulk to your food.

    thanks for the ideas Rena! I will try adding coconut oil to some tea. Sljohnson this is probably a stupid question but ive never tried heavy whipping cream what does it taste like? Im going to the store tonight I will get some of the stuff you suggested, thanks!

    Heavy whipping cream is the cream line from the top of milk. It is very rich and wonderful tasting. If you beat it to death, you can make butter. Since you drink tea, add some to it for creaminess.

    These have been mentioned but bacon, sour cream, heavy whipping, coconut oil, avocado and avocado oil and MCT oil are my go to. Good luck.

    I eat fat bombs if I've had a meal with just mainly protein and salad - I've made one that tastes a bit like a bounty bar with coconut oil, dessicated coconut, a small bit of 85% dark chocolate and almond butter. It's about 300 calories but mainly fat. Quite small, and have to keep it in the freezer.
