Oh Marla, that sounds like my worst nightmare. Hope it turns out good though and it'll be nice to have so much accomplished ahead of time.
Laura, I hope that if you post a light/healthy food pic on FB that trainer might give you props. With the race fast approaching he's probably just giving tough love, for your own good.
Today is another crazy day. I'm trying to deal with some disappointment, and anger towards who is partially responsible. Hoping for the best outcome. Anyway, ran ~10k. Gonna need to take tomorrow off running though. I've seriously got to get to the gym!0 -
Marla - sounds like life is pretty crazy for you now! At least it's getting you some good activity in, and I love the feeling of accomplishment when I look around at a newly organized area. Hope the showing goes well and that work is a bit of a break!
Sherry - congrats on finding a new running store! But sounds like a tough day to go along with it!
Laura - I'm so sorry you had a bad day! But today is a new day with new opportunities! You are amazing, so this should only be a minor setback. I am with you on my perspective. My hubby and I were talking about this last night. I get frustrated when I focus on weight loss as a goal. Mainly because we really don't have a lot of control over our weight loss. We can do things to encourage it, but there are so many other factors that make it impossible to control completely. I have learned to focus on other goals: going to bed on time so I get enough sleep, getting my workouts in, meeting training goals. Things I have a lot more control over. Hopefully, the weight loss follows.
I did get a Fitbit charge HR. I've only had it for half a day but I'm already loving it! I set my settings to sedentary just to allow the Fitbit more chance to adjust my calories. It was interesting to see my sleep patterns. I was in bed "sleeping" for 7 hours. But looking at the Fitbit it was a restless night where I got less than 5 hours of good sleep. But I'm going to my first aerobics class in about a year so I'm a bit nervous. (not sure why, but just the showing up in a group of people I don't really know who probably all know each other. The Y is always very welcoming but it still makes me a bit nervous the first time.) I also have a run to get in. Looking forward to seeing how my Fitbit does during workouts!
Have a great Saturday! My parents are coming over and hanging out. Which means a nice break from the kids for me.0 -
