Fat Fast Anyone?

Hi Keto Peeps!

Just wondering if any of you are/have/will be partaking in fat fasts?

If so, what's on the menu for your fat fast? How often do you fast? Do you reserve fasts only for plateaus or schedule them regularly (like every 6 weeks, or other?)

I'm starting my 3 day fast tomorrow to help me get into ketosis a bit quicker (since I teach a paleo cooking class tonight and I want to eat at least some of our amazing meal: crustless quiche lorraine, roasted fennel salad, herb baked trout and a chocolate/coconut tart for dessert!)

    I generally don't do fat fasts per se. But I do try to up my fat around 80% for a few days after an oops to kickstart.

    I've been trying to keep fat high lately. As in 75% or higher. Because I had been slowing down a bit and ravenously hungry all the time. Made some avocado garlic mayo. I know this sounds gross, but it's so delicious I could eat it with a spoon...and I probably will. :blush: And some choco/creamcheese/avocado mousse. That I'm keeping in the back of the fridge, because that stuff is dangerous.

    Those are my versions of fat bombs. I'm too lazy to do anything else.

    I have done fat fasts. I would eat just a block of cream cheese a day and then some bacon. I love cream cheese but I can't eat it plain anymore. Now if I'm looking to drastically restrict carbs to get myself into ketosis quick I follow more of an egg fast. Basically you have a serving of oil/mayo/butter per egg, minimum of 6 eggs per day, up to 6 ounces of cheese. I do it to get myself in ketosis after a cheat.
