Feb. 11/15 Wednesday weigh in

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a good week. I started rebounding this past week and am up to 15 minutes at a time and at least 3 times a day. I'm down 1/2 pound.
I noticed there is a group doing a weight challenge and was wondering if people still would be posting their weight here. I'm not looking to lose more as I'm already below my goal weight so I'm not in that challenge group.

Hello all. Success last week. Very encouraged with the one-pound loss. Our daughter has been visiting and baking, but I've managed to only have itsy bitsy tastes of her cakes. Limiting to just a tiny sample is as enjoyable as having the whole slice, and doesn't make me ravenous in 15 minutes. So that's working!

I lost the weight I put on during our trip last week, I was hoping for another 1lb or so but will settle for even. I have got to break this plateau. I've been at the same weight for a couple of months now. any advice?

I'm part of the challenge group, but personally made that about habits and sticking with this group for the weigh in.

Very happy to report that the scale is finally gone down (mostly due to habits commitment), and have lost 2 of the pounds I actually posted for my holiday/hibernation weight gain. I posted a gain of 4 pounds, but ummm... it was more  I HATE having to re-lose weight but it is what it is. Deb - I always believe that if something isn't working, change it up, although losing the trip gain is actually a win!

Congratulations to all you winning losers. It is great to see everyone lose some weight.

@Computershateme‌ I am glad you started this today. I'm not in the challenge so I still need this checkin. I was looking at rebounders yesterday. Sounds like fun.

I am still under goal but am wondering if I might be a little to much under. Not really worried just hmmmmm?

Everyone have a wonderful week and keep on track.

I was surprised when I got on the scale this morning. I was down 4 lbs! Amazing! I know I've been increasing my activity, but not really exercise. I've also been making a big effort to eat lunch, as my doctor told me to. I guess she was right. I'm down a total of 10 lbs in the past month.

Myrtbbk, great news! WTG! And now, computers, I'm going to have to look up what "rebounding" is ...

As for me, just one pound down from last week at this time ... but the scale hasn't budged in the few days so, usually I will see a big change all at once for some reason.

Plateaus happen, Deb ... maybe decreasing carbs and changing type of exercise will shake things up? ~ Kathy

Good morning. I hope i'm doing this right. If not maybe someone can tell me how to post my wednesday weigh in. I'm up 2.9 lbs since my last weigh in, which was 3 weeks ago. This is so embarising but I need to be honest.
    Thank you Debby

Congrats, to all the winning losers! And to everyone, stick with it because it does take time.

I'm holding steady this week, which is fine with me as I'm at goal now. Although it might be nice to have a little cushion and be a bit under, I'm not actively working at that. It took so long to get to goal (three years), I'm just happy to hold steady. Yesterday I was looking at the BMI chart, and was so thrilled to finally be in the "normal" range that I was grinning all day. ;)

    Have a great week!

Hey Debby (Rosebod) - the first (perhaps most important) step in this whole process is being honest with ourselves, so VERY WELL DONE FOR THAT! gimme-five-smiley-emoticon.gif \

How many of us just avoided the scale when we didn't want to know what it said?
Now for the next step, to get determined to do something about it - look back at your month and see what you could have done different, and... do the different thing for the next day. One day at a a time.
We're here for you - most of us have btdt (been there, done that!) Hugs

@Rosebod: Ker is right! Honesty in our logging puts the whole thing in perspective. A lot of us got here because if we didn't admit it, we thought it wouldn't count. Good for you to recognize that!

Thank you all for helping to encourage me. This is day 2 of logging my food. And making healthy food choices. And most important for me is closeig the kitchen after dinner.

Yeah, that later eating continues to be problematic for me. For one thing, most nights I don't get to eat dinner until 9:00 or 9:30 p.m. because of my work. But even still, I often have a late night snack. This is something I would like to change because it does present a danger. However, that achievement remains in the future. I really don't plan to retire anytime soon... unfortunately.

@mxchana Recently the CDC had on its site that it is not important WHEN you eat, it's the day's total of calories. That was a relief, as trying to take pills that must be taken with food, and avoiding the insomnia that persists when I'm hungry was a problem for me. The challenge is to make certain the evening eating is nutritious and not junk food, and not falling into the old bugaboo of binging.
