Marla - Long walks on the beach sound amazing!
. I hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter!
Sherry - 10 miles! I'm so jealous! Still just at the start of finally being back into training so I'm still at the 2 mile mark. Someday though....someday!
My parents are taking the kids this weekend. I'm going on a ride along with my hubby (he's a cop) and then we're going to a convention this weekend (a geeky one).. There will probably be a lot of dining out. It's my fun weekend so I won't be logging calories. But I will I stead try to focus on portion control and smart decisions...while still just relaxing and having fun!
Have a fantastic start to your weekend!0 -
Been sick since Tuesday afternoon - just running a low grade fever. Skipped swim class Tuesday night & went to bed at 7:15 instead. Worked half a day Wednesday the went home sick & slept. Worked Thursday and went to the gym & did my workout (trainer + run) because resting wasn't helping so I decided to try to sweat out the fever. Temp was a little lower this morning so that's progress. Had my trainer session this morning with a quick warm-up (10 minute on the bike & some shoulder band exercises) but he told me he wants me to skip my swim tonight & get healthy. I've got 9 miles scheduled for tomorrow (combination elliptical & treadmill) and he told me that needs to be my priority, so rest today so I'm ready to go tomorrow.
I'm still laughing at Wednesday's threadstarter (everything being on fire). That's a good one!0 -
Marla, that definitely sounds like a nice time!
val, I might be just a little jealous of your childless weekend. ;-) ENJOY!!!
Laura, sorry you've been sick. Low grade fever (and slight headache) is exactly what my son has. Small world, these bugs get around! Hope you get better soon.
Today I plotted out 13, but found myself thirsty and ready to stop right in front of a drink kiosk at exactly mile 12 and I called it quits. Drank, walked, stretched, and picked up a few things from the store in that last mile. Gonna need a rest tomorrow. Probably will do some walking and upper body at the gym tomorrow.0 -
Sherry that's an awesome run! There's a convenience store almost exactly a mile from my house so last spring & early summer on my long runs I'd try to finish my run there, go in & buy a beverage, and then drink it on my walk home. I found my legs were a lot less stiff & sore later if I got in an extra long walk at the end of the run.
My co-worker said her daughter had a fever with fatigue but no other symptoms and it lasted 10 days! Her doctor said that was going around. I'm going to be super annoyed if I'm sick for 10 days.0 -
10 days?! I hope not!0
