hey guys , im really confused on the almonds front.
in like 100g of almonds from a local supermarket, (not that i'd eat that much in one sitting) judging by the package when I input it in MFP, its telling me its 592 calories, but carbs are 9.5 and dietary fibre is 12.2 g... if the fibre is higher than the carb intake and we aren't meant to count fibre.. do you see where i'm going with this?
confused.

It sounds like the packaging is wrong. I think it should be 21.5 carbs.
Here is the data on the USDA website: http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/3667?fgcd=&manu=&lfacet=&format=&count=&max=35&offset=&sort=&qlookup=Almonds0 -
In the US, that would be labeled as 21.7g carbs, 12.2g fiber, and we have to do the math ourselves to determine 9.5g net carbs. In most(all?) of Europe, Australia, and perhaps other places, the carbs listed are "net carbs", with the fiber already removed from that number.
When googling this to make sure I had it right, I saw a suggestion to check a bottle of metamucil and it'll be clear how the labeling is done where you are.0 -

Hi guys, okay. thats cleared a lot up! I think the packaging may be wrong. I'll use the generic "nuts-almonds" input from now on to change this! thank you !
