Hey all! Had a fun weekend without the kids. Just the hubby and I. We ate out a lot, but split most things. I didn't log, this was my fun weekend. Back to normal routines this week. Last week was a little crazy because of a lot of changes to our schedule. Hoping to get back into a routine this week. :). This week is also my testing week...to do time trials in my swim, bike, and run. Every four weeks I do this to track how my training is going. So we'll see!

Hope you all have a great Monday! Hubby usually works, but got it off and always has Tues-Thurs off. So it will be nice to have him around more. :)

Glad you had fun and good luck on the tests. :-)

So today was a holiday, son's still sick, forecast called for rain all day. I decided to try to get a short run when I saw a break in the rain. It ended up clearing enough for me to get over 8 miles. Since I hadn't thought that I'd get a run, I'd had a thick homemade protein shake a couple hours before. So that was my first fed (not fasted) run this month. It was okay. Good actually. :-)

What a great thread starter today! That is one of those speaking right to me. I seem to be good at logging right up until I run out of calories, and then I stop writing things down. The scale is letting me know that strategy isn't really working out for me.

Good luck with your testing Val! Will be interesting to see how it went considering you're just getting back up to speed from your surgery.

What a great run Sherry! How great to be able to run 8 miles without even planning for it.

I went for a walk with a friend at lunch. Have my run & Jason tonight.

I had a pretty rough week last week—not one big thing happened but it was one thing after another, a couple bad nights of sleep, flat tire, frozen lugnuts, etc. I realized that I had been getting up early and doing my homework (I’m taking a class and had deadlines)…instead of exercising. I know that I sleep better when my body’s physically tired (my brain is always tired).

Yesterday I had a pretty healthy eating day though I had the energy of a slug. I also let myself get WAAAAAAY too hungry in the late afternoon and it took everything I had to go home (40 min drive) rather than eat my face off at a drive-thru. I walked in the door and ate two bowls of homemade crockpot chicken stew before my husband brought our kid in the house.

Just because I was exhausted, I passed out at 8:30 last night and slept well…until 4am. I worked out, wrote, had breakfast, and it was wonderful.
