Do you have to take 2,300mg of sodium a day?

    You body needs salt to regulate fluids and is also needed for your muscles and nerves (cell regulation) but I wouldn't worry too much about it. You should get the salt you need in the foods you eat (celery, milk, beets) have salt naturally. I personally don't add salt to my food.
    Also I find that not all the information is correct when adding things to my diary. Some people don't enter all the info, so I tend to use it as a guide.
