Hit a deadlift PB of 105kg for two reps last week after leaving it about a fortnight from trying last. Am thinking about dropping back to eighty and upping my volume for a month before I try again. How long do you leave it between really heavy sessions. Have only been lifting since sept so still learning

How hard was the deadlift at 105kg? What weights did you do building up to the 2 reps? Are you following a specific plan? If you struggled with the 2 reps, maybe back down 10% and work back up?
For reference, I am only at 175lbs for deadlifts (~79kg), but for now I increase each DL session. If I don't feel like I can maintain form, I keep it at the same weight for another session, and if I really feel off I deload 10% and work back up. But even at 175lbs, I didn't just pick up the bar and lift it-today's session was warmed up with 1x5@135lbs, 1x5@165lbs, THEN 1x5@175lbs.

I started at 40 (kg) for 5 reps then jumped 60, 70, 90 by which points I'd dropped to 3 reps, 100 then 105 for 2. The reps were challenging, grip wise mostly, as I use a really thick bar with car tyres on it. But not impossibly so.
I don't have a specific plan I just make sure I rotate the major areas, that day was back and legs, today was chest and shoulders and so on. I just go for a PB if I am feeling the love. Somedays I know it wont happen and go for volume at a lower but still challenging weight instead. My routine is cardio warm up like boxing or rowing followed by 2-3 compound lifts usually. Tonight for example I rowed and ran then did OHP, bench, lat pull downs and farmer carries but knew I was tired from a heavy session last night so dropped to my 10RM and went for volume.
Am thinking of dropping back to 80 for now until I know its closer to a 10RM for me then work back up in a month or so possibly.0
