Ugh, another stormy day here.
I'll have lots of catching up to do, both in exercise and errands. It'd better not storm tomorrow.

I'd really like to get back to at least one or two morning workouts a week. First I need to get better about getting to bed at a decent time and getting enough sleep to even think about getting up that early! So my plan today is a workout this evening after work.0

Marla - that meal sounded deliciousL. Want to come cook at my house?
Sherry - It's frustrating when you're ready to workout and the weather won't cooperate! When does hubby leave on his trip?
Laura - I am finding just focusing on my choices when I do snack has helped immensely! Also, where do you swim?
Rising - welcome! This group is great! So many groups I'm in are either not active or posting on specific topics instead of a daily general thread. So I love this group!
Yesterday I actually stayed in my calories! I did sneak one chicken nugget and a handful of goldfish crackers. But hubby was gone or in bed all day (he's got some nasty head cold) and the little boy I was watching that day was also hanging out with us until about 8:30 at night. So I spent most of the day by myself with four kids. It was stressful and I'm excited I still made good food choices! It was the kids school fundraiser at McDonald's. I did not eat there, but we brought it back home and the kids ha do heir happy meals while I had my left over chicken and mashed potatos. I also did not have weight lifitng in yesterday. I moved everything back a day. I needed the break! I was so completely wiped by the end of the day...it wasn't even funny!
Today I plan to do my lower body lifting. Tomorrow I'll do my bike ride and I have my Pilafes class. Then Sunday I'll do my run. I should still get all my training in even though I skipped a couple yesterday and this morning. Have a great Friday! So far, my hubby is sick...oldest is sick...and middle child has a double ear infection. But I've managed to stay somewhat healthy. I just pray I can continue that!0 -
Valmaebel, I have been sick for the past month or so, and every time I think it's finally gone, it comes roaring back (stuffy nose). It seems to be on its way out now...hopefully for good! Hope everyone is feeling better soon at your home and that you don't catch it!0

Sherry hope the weather clears up soon for you. When does your husband head out for his business trip?
Nice job Val surviving all the eating challenges yesterday & staying in your calorie target! Hope you're able to get in your workouts today. Are you feeling 100% again after your surgery?
Great job Rising getting to the gym yesterday! There's some nasty stuff going around here too - seems like half the people I know are sick. Friday mornings I see my trainer before work and I have to get to bed early on Thursdays to make that work. I also see him Thursday evenings though so I have a pretty tight turnaround anyway, and then I have to crawl into bed early on top of that.
Last night I did 15 minutes on the rowing machine, my shoulder band exercises and 22 minutes on the bike (which brought me to 45 minutes of warm-up), then legs & core with Jason. This morning was a quick warm-up - 5 minutes on the rowing machine & 3 minutes on Jacobs Ladder, then upper body/rotational core with Jason. I had planned to swim after work tonight but I'm fatigued to the point where I'm skipping it; otherwise tomorrow's run is going to suffer and right now that has to be my priority over swimming.
Last night I had to stop & eat some Sport Beans between the warm-up and my trainer session because my hands were shaking, so as of today I'm bumping up calories by 100 a day. I did get through 4 days at the lower target Jason set for me, but I suspect a lot of the fatigue I'm feeling right now has to do with good workouts this week and inadequate calories to fuel them. I wrote a longish blog post about it today but basically I realized I need to figure out what my weight loss calorie target is right now and I have to stop relying on what my calorie target was a year ago. I don't think I can eat as much now as I could a year ago and still lose weight. And while I want to lose weight, Jason wants me to do it slowly because he doesn't want me losing fast while I'm also bumping up running mileage, so that target is probably a moving one over the next few months.0 -
