I found this quote yesterday and it helped keep me from binging on snacks last night. I did have lne cookie...but I had the calories left over so I allowed myself the snack.
Technology hated me yesterday. When it rains, our wifi always cuts out. The casing protecting it must be bad or something. But it rains so rarely here that by the time we convince someone to come out, the rain has stopped and it's working again so they end up not coming out. Then my hubby's computer froze, and we couldn't connect to the time machine (our back up we can use to restore the computer) because the wifi wasn't working. By the end of the day I wanted to pile all our electronics in a pile in the back yard, set them on fire, and dance around them.
In other news, smallest child will have a preschool screening this Friday. He's been having a lot of meltdowns and we didn't notice at first because he is always stubborn and obstinate, but it's similar to what we were experiencing with middle child a few years ago. Mainly, he doesn't seem to understand what we're saying and can't communicate his frustrations so he freaks out. So we'll see on Friday if it's an actual speech processing issue or if he's just being a turd. Either way, it will help me figure out how to best deal with him.
Got my bike in. Normally I bike outside on Mondays, but it was a flood warning and people here freak out when it rains and drive like crazy people. So I switched them and did my spin up sets on the indoor bike instead, and I'll do my road bike on Thursday. My daughter had her recital and she did fine. She messed up a bit...but had listened to my advice and just kept playing through it. You couldn't even tell. I call that a win in my book.
The massages sound fantastic...I may need to get one. It's on my list of rewards at the end of this month if I get all my strength training done. A good motivator!
Sherry - Yay to having both of them in tutor and getting a little break each day! That must be sooooooo freeing!
Have a great day!0 -
I work both jobs today, so I won't be working out
I go until 5 at this job, then straight to my second job until about 9:30 PM.

Snowing here today. They said 2-5" total but I already had 3" at my house when I left at 7:00 this morning, and it's supposed to snow fairly heavily until sometime this afternoon, so I'm guessing we'll end up with more than that. Then the winds are going to pick up so it's supposed to be hazardous driving home tonight too, even though the snow will have stopped (from blowing/drifting snow & low visibility). And then the temps are supposed to plummet overnight, so I better get out and shovel as soon as I get home (dropping from +14F at 6:00 tonight to -8F at 6:00 tomorrow morning). No Pilates tonight & swim classes are over, so I'll go straight home after work, get in my shoveling, then jump on my bike trainer as my workout. I also signed up for an hour on the treadmill desk at work this afternoon to get some steps in.0

Hey all! DH got away okay, waiting for his arrival call. Kids did great at "little school" (btw, val, my lil girl flat refuses to try to speak Greek...as the tutor pointed out to me today, but I already knew, so I can sorta relate to the tantrum stuff relating to communication. Also because of the two languages, she's made up her own shortcuts to make it easier for her, such as made-up pronouns, which makes it hard for anyone but us to understand her English either. But when she isn't understood, she flips the eff out. So, yeah.) anyway, ran few miles but got distracted by the kitesurfers at the beach (love it, have always wanted to try it!) and again by a new shop I just had to go in. Easy evening with homemade chicken noodle soup. Lil girl warm with low grade fever at bedtime, so Tylenol and occasional temp checks. How she is in the a.m. Will determine tomorrow for me. Gotta do a few things before bed, so signing off!
Rising, hope you have an uneventful double shift with your jobs, and some rest.
Laura, I wish I could send you some of our sunshine and warmth! I ran in a t shirt today and got hot. I told DH to take some nice weather to USA with him! ;-)0 -
Great thread starter, Valma.
I picked myself up and dusted myself off after the weekends' unhealthy binge that did not feel good. Ugh. Got up early and worked out yesterday morning and this morning. Trying to eat within calories and find it challenging but I'm coming a lot closer than I have been. Hell, at least I'm logging! Thanks to all who commented on my post, I really appreciate the support, sometimes I feel like I'm doing this solo IRL...but with my mfpeeps I'm not alone.0 -
