Yesterday started off well...land then last night crashed and burned. I ate well, got my run in, and everything. Then early afternoon had a spat with hubby. Nothing life altering...but he's been sick for over two weeks and frustrated about that and a bunch of other things that went wrong this week with our electronics. I asked him to help me for a half hour with the kids and he got very defensive at me and the made fun of me a bit when I was surprised by his reaction. It wasn't resolved very well either and for the first time in a few weeks I binged a bit. Looking at the positive side...my binging was eating three pieces of pizza, a couple breadsticks and a few pieces of dark chocolate. Definitely could have been worse. But it still left me feeling like crap.

I'm stressed a bit this week with the sheer amount of stuff I need to do. But Im planning on just slowly working through it. Just focus on what I need to get done that day and just plug away.

Laura - snow and cold...I do not miss the weather in MN! Even in the summer when it's hot, it's still in the 80s and 90s in the early morning so I can always train outside!

Rising - having a day off is needed to let your body recover a bit. Be sure to take some time for you in those busy days! You deserve it!

Sherry - So glad I'm not the only dealing with communication tantrums with little guy.

Today I have a tempo run, just a short half hour one. I overslept a little, but still have time to get it in. We have our bible study tonight and my sister is coming over with her computer so we can get my hubby's resume off of our back up machine (our comp crashed and my hubby has an opportunity to move to a new position in the force which he REALLY wants but his resume is on the crashed comp. Part of his grumpiness yesterday.) My hubby is also taking his computer in to be looked at. So busy day here. Hoping to still get it all done!

What does your hubby do? Force sounds military or police? My hubby has been sick almost the whole two weeks I have been gone so while we are getting along, he posts more stuff about being lonely than he usually would when I do a trip. Part of me wants to be there to take care of him and part of me glad I am not, he is big baby when sick.

My warning about massage don't get a deep tissue one if you have been fighting any sickness. I have been on edge of sinus stuff the whole trip..keeping it at bay with nose rince and spray but after massage I felt sick, sort of dizzy and headache. I drank water like they always say so it wasn't that.

Of course I had to google about it and learned that massage opens your blood flow so if you are fighting anything it goes all over....

I haven't had a deeper massage in years but I asked her to work out the stress in my shoulders and she carefully did.

Also I started my day on trail overlooking ocean and walked too far for how I am feeling, ended up going almost 6 miles total.

Feel a bit better but not over whatever so will take easy today.

Val sorry to hear about the chaos last night. But your binge at least sounds delicious. :) Too bad it wasn't something you were enjoying instead of stress eating.

In the summer here I get out early so I can run when it's in the 50s and 60s. By the time it hits 70 it's borderline too warm for me to run. My body does not react well to heat. By 80 I can't even sit outside in the sun or I start to feel physically ill, so running would be out of the question.

Marla that's interesting about deep tissue massages when you're fighting something off. All my massages are deep tissue, so that's good to know.

I'm running tonight - my final run of C25K! It's a 5 minute walk, 35 minute run, 5 minute walk. I then will likely jump on the AMT/elliptical for 15 minutes to bring my workout to an hour. My legs are quite sore today from Monday night's strength workout but hopefully by tonight will loosen up (at least when I run). I only did 20 minutes on the bike trainer last night because my legs were sore and tired, and tonight's run is more important than yesterday's bike workout, so I opted to take it easy.

All this talk of hubbies (oh, how childish they can be sometimes, lol) reminds me why I love DHs trips. Even though it's more work for me...distance makes the heart grow fonder. ;-) val, you may need a girls night out or weekend soon. From Marla's descriptions, I'd say take a trip there! Sounds great with ocean and hiking! Laura, you would not like it here! It's been 70-80 in the afternoons when I run this week. Luckily I prefer warmer weather. April, keep it up!find what works for you.

Well today I thought I'd take it easy and run at the park. Boy was I wrong! I know a lot of faces at the park and this one older man is always there. He is a good, consistent, lifelong runner. He came up to me and started talking. So I ran with him and we had a VERY broken conversation (so embarrassing how little Greek I can convey), but it was so nice and the time flew by. Unfortunately I was unable to explain about my low Heartrate training, so I ended up running way over, but was able to easily maintain the convo (well, a little more difficult on the hill each turn). He even told me I was doing good, when he heard my breath-cadence pacing normalize quickly after the hill. He had to ask to slow down a time or two. Then, later I did. It was a nice change of pace, but I've got that old familiar "pushed too hard" headache now. (I was fasted because I always run fasted in my aerobic zone...so this pretty much beat me up.) But I can totally see why people run together. If I could've had a normal English convo, I coulda run forever. When he stopped before me (he was there before me), it got very boring and my legs got very heavy. Running is such a mental sport. Hopefully back to lower HR tomorrow.

I didn't want to work at all! I thought of going for a run (just trying to get back into it), but I am still very self conscious about running. So I did 30 minutes of Hip Hop Abs at home.
