Broke My Butt

So just when I was really getting into a great physical fitness routine, I went out to shovel snow (again), and slipped--TWICE--landing hard on my tailbone both times. The result is I fractured my coccyx and pulled a muscle in my back. I can't sit, I can't stand for long, and I can't walk or do crunches or cycle or any of the things I was enjoying. Aargh! I am so frustrated! I suppose I can still swim, which is something, I guess.

Stupid snow!

Hello Chris....hummm doesn't sound like fun...a busted bum! Nor does the snow for that matter! Not much you can do for a fractured coccyx.....except don't fall on it again! Sorry to hear it has slowed down your exercising...but swimming is the best thing you can do...especially for the back. It will take the pressure off of your back and backside for that matter! I read from your profile you had the sleeve gastrectomy too. I feel left out!!! But congrats on your weight loss so far! Hope the pain goes away...just head for the pool and you will feel better and better and before you know it....the snow will have melted and you will be outdoors getting your exercising in again!!

Nancy, meet Chris. Chris, met Nancy.
Nancy, I found Chris in a gastric sleeve forum and invited her here.
Chris, welcome to our crazy little fat-fighting family. Let us know how we can support you in your weight loss journey.

Jim and I are fighting a bug. No swim for me today. I want to lie here on the couch and eat snacks, but weigh-in is coming, and I'd like to do well.

Where's the rest of the gang? VERY quiet in here. I know Zac is busy doing pirouettes in a pirate costume, LOL.

  • Thanks folks, and hello Nancy!

Sorry to hear you are under the weather, Karen. Hope you recuperate soon.
