Depends on how much sugar you're talking, what else you have with your coffee, and what your carb goal is, as well as other confounding factors (like medical conditions).
The lower your carb goal, the less likely you'll want to include much, if any, sugar in your coffee. Try cream, instead, or switch to tea.
Even at higher carb goals, be mindful of the amount of sugar you use. Simple, refined sugars are one of the bigger causes of health issues. It's also empty calories, so there's that, too.
If you have a metabolic disorder, then it's probably good to stay away from the sugar entirely, because sugar, of course, raises blood sugar and insulin levels, which can impede weight loss.0 -
Have you tried Stevia powder? I get the little packets, and it's pretty good. Not artificial, just straight from the Stevia plant. Far lower in carbs than refined sugar and a good substitue. I am going to use it in a crustless cheesecake later0

I add 2 tsp regular white sugar to my coffee. It's about 4 carbs and it's never interfered with ketosis or weight loss.0
